Corporate Golf Tournament DJ in Toronto and the GTA

A corporate golf tournament is really three events in one day: a 7 a.m. registration, four to five hours of golf from a shotgun start, and a dinner with prizes, thank-yous and, at most charity tournaments, an auction and a raffle. Each one has its own sound, its own mic needs and its own clock.

Registration and the shotgun start

Registration is a half-hour window where 144 golfers sign in, find their carts and look for coffee. Music on the clubhouse patio sets the tone, and a wireless mic lets your tournament chair make the announcements that matter: cart assignments, rules of the day, where the on-course contests are, and when the horn goes. We keep the volume friendly at that hour, because members who are not in your tournament may be on the practice green a few metres away.

We are set up before the first golfer arrives, which at most GTA clubs means loading in around 6 a.m. for a 7:30 start.

On-course music that actually works

The on-course setup is a battery-powered system on a par 3 or a sponsor hole, placed beside the tee so every foursome hears it as they roll up and while they wait for the group ahead. No generator, no extension cord to the halfway house, and no noise on the green while someone is putting. We confirm the hole with the pro shop first, because every club has rules about where sound is allowed and how loud it can be.

That hole can do more than play music. A DJ stationed there can run the contest, whether that is closest to the pin, beat the pro or a sponsor activation on the mic, and it becomes the hole everyone talks about at dinner. If you would rather have music at the turn, we set up at the halfway house instead.

The dinner: prizes, auction and the clock

This is where the day is won or lost. Golfers come in tired, sunburnt and thirsty. They want to eat, hear who won and go home, so we build the run of show with you to make sure the important parts happen while the room is still full.

The order that works: a welcome, then food service. Sponsor thank-yous over dessert, when people are seated and paying attention. Then the prizes, read quickly with a walk-up track for each winner: closest to the pin, longest drive, the putting contest and the low team. Then the live auction, run by your auctioneer or chair on our mic with music stings between lots. Then the raffle, with numbers read twice over a music bed so it never drags.

The whole prize block should come in under 25 minutes, because golfers start drifting to the parking lot about 90 minutes after they sit down. If someone won the hole-in-one prize, we make a moment of it. If nobody did, we do not linger.

The room, the mic and the club’s own system

Clubhouse banquet rooms around Toronto range from a wood-panelled dining room to a large tented pavilion, and most of them have ceiling speakers built for background music rather than for a speech over 144 people who have had a few drinks. We bring sound sized to the room so every table hears the podium, and a wireless handheld for your chair.

Golf tournament dinners do not usually dance, and we do not push it. Background music sits at a level that lets tables talk. If a younger crowd wants a dance floor afterward, we can do that, and the lighting comes with us. Many private clubs ask for a certificate of insurance before a vendor loads in; we carry liability insurance and can send one to the club ahead of the day.

A weather delay is the most common thing that goes wrong at a golf tournament, and the fix is to keep the day feeling like it is still on. If the shotgun start is held, we keep music and announcements going at the clubhouse so the wait feels like part of the plan. If the round is shortened, the prizes move earlier and stay tight. If lightning brings everyone in, we help the pro shop get the word out on the mic.

Booking timeline

The 2026 season wraps up in October, and the last fall tournaments are being finalized now. GTA clubs open their 2027 tournament calendars over the winter, and the good May and June dates go first, so book your DJ as soon as the club confirms your date, ideally by February.
