Product Launch and Brand Event DJ in Toronto

Corporate DJ and MC services across Toronto and the GTA

A product launch has one moment that matters. The lights shift, the music hits, the cover comes off, and the room reacts. Everything before it is build-up and everything after is celebration, and if the mic crackles or the music lands late, that is what people talk about. We make sure it lands.

Legendary Sound provides DJ, MC and sound for product launches and brand events across Toronto and the GTA, in showrooms, galleries, office atriums, hotel ballrooms and restaurant private rooms, for teams who need the room to feel like the brand.

The reveal cue and the presenter

The reveal is a technical sequence, not a vibe, and we build it with you before doors. A walk-on track for the presenter, faded under their first line. A wireless lapel mic, with a handheld on standby in case the lapel fails. An agreed cue for the reveal, which can be a word in the script, a hand signal, or a countdown on the screen. And a hit track that starts on that cue at full volume, with the lights changing at the same instant.

Then we rehearse it. Fifteen minutes with the presenter before doors is enough to walk the entrance, the fade, the cue and the hit, and presenters relax once they know the DJ is watching them, not the laptop. If there is a video, we run its audio through our system at the right level and test the file before anyone arrives.

Volume, conversation and content capture

A launch is a talking event first. Guests, press and buyers need to hear each other and get close to the product, so for most of the night the music sits at conversation level, curated to the brand rather than a dance floor. The lift comes after the reveal, and if the night turns into a party, we take it there.

If your team is shooting content for social, tell us. Videos with recognizable songs in the background can be muted or flagged when posted, so we keep music low near interview spots and can play instrumental beds while your content team films. We also give your videographer a clean feed from the presenter’s mic, so the launch video is usable rather than echoey.

Sound and lighting in a room that was not built for events

Showrooms, galleries and atriums have glass, concrete and polished floors. Sound bounces and speech gets muddy, so we aim speakers at people rather than walls and keep the level where a presenter can be understood at the back. In a long narrow space we add a second pair of speakers rather than push the front pair harder.

Lighting is where the brand shows up. Our LED up-lights are set to your brand colour from a hex code, and we can shift them on the reveal cue. Cold spark fountains are dramatic and safe indoors, and we confirm with the venue that they are permitted. Dry ice works well for a car or a hero product on a plinth. Cables run along walls and under mats so nothing crosses a walkway your guests or cameras will use.

Timing and the people in the room

Media and buyers arrive early and leave early, while staff and partners stay late. We shape the run of show around that: doors, a 30 to 45 minute arrival window, the presentation and reveal about an hour in, a lift for photos and product time, then a wind-down or a party. MC needs are usually light. We introduce the presenter, thank partners and make housekeeping announcements without turning the launch into a show about us.

Weekday launches in downtown Toronto often mean a venue that is open for business until late afternoon. We set up quietly around a working showroom, or arrive at a set time so the room is ready when your team walks in.

Booking timeline

Fall launch season runs now through November, and pre-holiday retail launches are being locked in. If your date is in the next few weeks, contact us and we will confirm availability. For spring 2027, booking over the winter keeps the best weeknight dates open.

Frequently asked questions

This is not a dance party. Why do we need a DJ? Because a launch has a shape, and someone has to run it. Arrival music, the fade for the presenter, the reveal cue, the lift and the wind-down all need to be timed live. A DJ and MC does that from one table, on your cue, with the mics and sound already in place.

We are filming content for social media. Will the music be a problem? It can be, and we plan for it. Videos with recognizable songs in the background can get muted or flagged on social platforms. We keep music low near interview areas and can play instrumental beds while your team is shooting. Tell us where the cameras will be and when.

Can the lighting match our brand colours? Yes. Give us a hex code or a swatch and we set the LED up-lights to match as closely as the fixtures allow. We can also shift from a neutral wash to your brand colour on the reveal cue.

The CEO wants to walk on to a specific song and reveal the product on a count. Can you do that? That is the part we enjoy most. We rehearse the walk-on, the fade under the first line of the speech, and the reveal hit with you and the presenter before doors. The cue can be a hand signal, a word in the script or a countdown on a clock. We hit it every time because we practised it.

Our venue is a showroom, not an event space. Is that a problem? No, it is common. Showrooms, galleries, office atriums and retail floors have hard surfaces, odd power and no stage. We size the sound to the room, cover the crowd without blasting the product display, and run cables so nothing crosses a walkway. A floor plan or a quick site visit is all we need.
